What you will need for your website

  1. Email address and phone number and the best time to call you.
  2. Your content/text.
  3. Optional: images of your products, services or whatever your website is about.
  4. Visa, MasterCard, or money order for website payment. Your annual payments for website hosting/domain name are separate—we can help you with hosting and domain registration.
That’s it—we will take care of everything else.

Your website will have a consistent, professional, "look and feel" and will contain

  1. 1 professional, clean, classic design for all pages, with 1 limited revision using one of your photos or a stock photo selected by CustomWebHelp.
  2. Up to 6 HTML pages (maximum 1 Word page per HTML page) e.g. home page, about page, services page—your choice of pages
  3. A design that allows for future expansion (e.g. new pages, shopping cart buttons).
  4. Optional: your marketing message, tagline or slogan.
  5. Optional: up to 6 of your photos of products, services, organization etc.
  6. A title for your website and your existing logo if you have one (logo development is not included).
  7. User-friendly layout that easy to navigate and find information.
  8. Your website will have correct search engine information for 1 search phrase (more can be added later during maintenance).
  9. Your content formatted for the web so it is easy to read.
  10. A focus on your business or organization’s strengths.
  11. You will get a complete setup of your website in our preferred national hosting environment. Your annual website hosting payment includes 24/7 phone hosting support from the hosting company. You will get 1 email address for the site (more can be added later). Website hosting charges are approximately $140/year for an HTML website with a setup fee (paid directly to the website hosting company).
  12. You will be provided a link to view your website statistics online (free).
  13. We will include accessibility for people with disabilities (required by law).
Your site will include best practices and meet web standards
  • You will own your domain name/URL and your website hosting account (very important).
    • We can assist you in selecting a URL/domain name.
  • We will submit your website to Google—the most important search engine.
  • We will use quality hand-coded HTML and validate the code (passes web standards).
  • Your site will be built for easy HTML updates.
  • Your site will be tested on several popular browsers (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox).
Your site will be launched in 14 days from the start date.

Our easy process

  • During the initial call we will ask you questions that will help us design your site. We will order your website hosting in your name—and your domain name (if needed).
  • While we design your site, you will write the text for your pages. Send us your final content by email (attached Word file or in the email) within a week or 10 days.
  • We will show you the design of the website and you will have the opportunity to request small changes in the design.
  • We will build the site in HTML and add your final content.
  • Launch will be in 14 days.
  • Custom WebHelp or any HTML professional of your choice can make changes to your content, add pages etc. (website maintenance) by the hour. As the owner of the site, you will have all the account and password information in your name.

FAQs

Q: How will we work together on the website?
A: We will start your website by discussing your needs on the phone. Other communication will be by email unless we need more clarification—then we can schedule a time to talk by phone.

Q: How do I write content for a web page?
A: We suggest that you write one page every day—a page could be anywhere from 1 to 4 paragraphs. The length of content is not important—it is the quality of content. We recommend that you write concise, descriptive content that describes your products, services, and organization. We will let you know if your content needs editing. After your website is live you can elect to have any HTML professional or Custom WebHelp update your content (by the hour is the most cost effective).

Q: Can I add other pages, shopping carts, or forms later?
A: Yes, we will build the site so new pages and shopping cart buttons can be easily added. Let us know if you are planning on adding forms or if you may add dynamic/interactive pages in the future so we can discuss what kind of hosting might be best for you (database hosting costs more).

Q: Can you build websites in other languages or for people in other countries?
A: Our websites are in English and are available only in the United States.
